For families - parents & grandparents

FAQs by Parents, grandparents, homeschool families - buying for home use, gifts, or family bonding / group activity.
1) My child is too much on a screen. Do you have something hands-on where they actually create something and learn?

That is exactly what Inspirely kits are built for. Inspirely kits are authenticated by STEM.org and patent-protected DIY wooden building project.

Your child follows paper instructions and a build-along video to construct a real working project in 30–90 minutes. They walk away with something they built with their own hands and want to show everyone.

These kits are Best in STEAM Award winner. Ideal for ages 6 & up plus families (parents & grandparents).

2) I'm a parent of two twins in Grade 6 and I want them to start identifying what they genuinely enjoy - so they can choose the right subjects, explore opportunities beyond school, and build a university and career path that actually fits who they are.

Can Inspirely help?

Most children reach high school subject selection without ever having been exposed to what the subjects actually lead to. They pick based on what their friends choose, what seems safe, or what a guidance counsellor suggests in a 20-minute appointment.

By the time they reach university, many are studying something they chose by default - not by design.

The Discover Your Passion workshop Series exists to close that gap before it opens.

Each live 1.5-hour session places your child inside a real career field - AI and machine learning, aerospace, engineering, entrepreneurship, medical science, content creation, finance, and more. Not a lecture about the field. An experience of it.

Your child leaves each session with a clearer sense of what excites them, what bores them, and why - information that makes every subject choice, extracurricular decision, and university conversation sharper and more intentional.

STEM.org Accredited. Grades 5–10. Monthly series - 12+ career fields across the year. Live online and in-person. Certificate of participation included.

Grade 6 is the perfect entry point. The earlier they explore, the more runway they have to act on what they discover.

3) I'm looking for a birthday gift that's actually educational and impressive. What do you recommend for a 9-year-old?

For a 9-year-old (Grade 4), we recommend the Basketball Catapult or Hydraulic Bridge.

Both are STEM.org Authenticated, award-winning, and teach real engineering principles through a 60–90 minute hands-on build. Inspirely is a member of the Canada Gift Association - kits are giftable without extra wrapping, require no batteries, and produce a finished wooden model the child keeps and demonstrates proudly for months.

Free shipping on orders over $150 within Ontario.

4) I'm a grandparent and want to do something meaningful with my grandchild next visit. Do your kits work for that?

Absolutely. Each kit takes 30–90 minutes to build together - no specialist knowledge needed, no extensive prep required. The box includes everything: all wooden pieces, hardware (screws, screwdrivers), paper instructions, and a QR code for the build-along video. Just bring AA batteries if your kit needs them - most families already have those.

You build side by side. At the end, your grandchild holds up something they made with their own hands. The project goes home with them. The story stays with both of you. Kits are designed for ages 6 and up, Grades 1–8.

5) My kids are 7 and 11. Can they both use Inspirely kits?

Yes, both. Kits are labeled by grade range and difficulty. For your 7-year-old (Grade 2): start with the Basketball Catapult Easy or Easy Air Powered Car - both beginner level, ages 6+.

For your 11-year-old (Grade 6): the Ferris Wheel or ultimate Hydraulic Bridge are the right challenge.

Every product page clearly shows the recommended age and grade so you always pick the right fit.

6) Do the kits come with instructions? My 7-year-old would be building mostly on their own.

Every kit includes printed step-by-step instructions plus a QR code for a full HD build-along video. A 7-year-old on beginner kits (Easy Basketball Catapult, Easy Air Powered Car) can build completely independently.

For intermediate kits like the Hydraulic Bridge or Dynamo Generator, adult check-ins are required. No extra tools required - everything is in the box except AA batteries where needed.

7) What exactly are the Inspirely Ultimate kits? How are they different from other kits?

The Ultimate Series is Inspirely's premium product line - high-quality wooden STEM kits designed and patented. When your child builds one, the quality difference is immediately obvious: precision laser-cut wooden pieces, detailed video and PDF instructions, and a finished model that looks exceptional.

These kits are proudly designed and hand-packed with love and care in Canada.

STEM.org Authenticated and Best in STEAM Award winners.

8) Do you ship to the US?

For Schools, teachers & parent councils

FAQs by Elementary and middle school teachers, principals, school council members, school board procurement
1) I'm an elementary teacher looking for a hands-on STEM activity that fits one class period, is curriculum-aligned, and needs minimum prep. What do you recommend?

Inspirely experiential learning kits are designed for exactly this. 30–90 minutes per kit. Printed instructions plus build-along HD video included. No teacher training or extensive prep. Students self-direct the build - you facilitate.

Kits align with elementary curriculum expectations for science and technology, Grades 1–8.

Inspirely participates as a vendor at events hosted by STAO (Science Teachers Association of Ontario),Catholic Principals' Council of Ontario, and OASBO (Ontario Association of School Business Officials).

Many teachers use these kits as classroom-level or school-wide fundraisers too.

Contact us for school pricing and kit selection guidance.

2) I'm a parent council member. Inspirely kits seem perfect for school fundraising. Our current fundraisers are hard to sell and not educational. How do we start?

This is the most common reason schools come to us - and the feedback is always the same: parents actually want to buy these. Inspirely's school fundraising program can generate $10,000+ in revenue in as little as 3 weeks. Kits are STEM.org Authenticated, curriculum-aligned, and insured. Parents see immediate educational value.

Compatible with SchoolCash Online and suitable for the Ontario PRO Grant activities. You communicate with parents, collect confirmed orders, and pay Inspirely after orders are in.

Zero upfront cost to your school council. Contact us for school pricing and kit selection guidance.

3) Our school is applying for the Ontario PRO Grant. Are Inspirely programs eligible?

We believe so - Inspirely kits and Discover Your Passion workshops align with the PRO Grant's mandate of supporting student learning and family engagement activities (separate from fundraising). We provide all documentation needed for your application. That said, eligibility confirmation and application are your school council's responsibility.

Send a message or Email hello@inspirely.education to schedule a no-obligation 15-minute call to explore this together.

4) What is the difference between online and in-person Discover Your Passion workshops for schools? Which should we choose?

The content is almost identical across both formats. The main differences are convenience and logistics.

Online:Lower cost per student, no logistics burden on school staff, accessible from any location.

In-person:Some schools find in-person more effective for student engagement and interactivity. We come to your school and run the full session.

Our advice: choose based on your expected outcome. Both formats areSTEM.org Accreditedand ideal for STEM week, science fair, career day, extended curriculum activities, and parent engagement events.

Send a message or Email hello@inspirely.education to schedule a no-obligation 15-minute call to explore this together.

5) Does Inspirely accept school purchase orders?

Yes. Send a message (see right side section) or email hello@inspirely.education with your school name, grade levels, quantity required, and billing contact. We respond within 24 hours with a quote and invoice.

PRO Grant documentation provided on request at no additional charge.

6) We've tried STEM programs before and kids weren't engaged. What makes Inspirely different?

Two things change the engagement dynamic with Inspirely.

First: students build something real - a working wooden model they take home. Passive programs lose kids. Hands-on production keeps them focused for the full 60–90 minutes.

Second: these kits are designed by students - co-founder Jay Tailor was in Grade 8 when he created the first kit. He knows what actually resonates because he lived it recently. That peer mentorship is different - students respond to it in a way they don't respond to adult-designed programs.

All experiential learning kits from Inspirely are authenticated by third party STEM.org - proving they have proven educational value and challenges.

7) What school boards and organizations does Inspirely work with?

Inspirely is a fundraising preferred vendor of Simcoe County District School Board in Ontario. Inspirely also participated as vendor at the well-known educational events like STAO (Science Teachers Association of Ontario), the Catholic Principals' Council of Ontario, and events hosted by OASBO (Ontario Association of School Business Officials).

We work with schools across Ontario and are actively expanding into additional school boards.

Contact us to discuss your board's specific procurement process.

8) Can students receive a certificate after completing a Discover Your Passion workshop?
