Engineering Path: Live Online Workshop
Before they choose a path, help them see what's possible
Your child likes figuring out how things work, improving a design or finding another way to solve a problem. Engineering Path connects those interests with the people shaping our world, the subjects they study and the possibilities your child could explore next.
Supporting their journey from curiosity to interests, possibilities and purpose.

Why discover interests now?
Middle school and high school bring choices about subjects, activities and future studies. Understanding where an interest could lead gives your child something meaningful to draw on when those decisions arrive.
Discovering interests early can help students make thoughtful academic choices, building clarity instead of confusion. It also gives you a starting point for better conversations: what caught their attention, which school subjects connect with it and what they'd like to try next.
What your child will explore in Engineering Path
What's changing in engineering
Explore how engineers use creativity, knowledge and purpose to solve real-world problems. Connect an interest in how things work with possible future pathways.
Why school learning matters
See how mathematics, science, design and teamwork connect with engineering work beyond the classroom.
Investigate something that matters
Go further with enrichment resources and an individual assignment exploring a real problem connected with this field. A provided example helps students get started; they choose the problem they want to investigate.
Reflect on interests and share ideas
Use an interest-reflection worksheet to rate what you enjoyed and what caught your attention. Return for the one-hour group follow-up to present your findings, hear other ideas and discuss what you might explore next.
One field. Four ways to explore it.
Explore, apply, reflect and share. Each registration includes a 90-minute live online workshop, enrichment resources, an individual post-workshop assignment, an interest-reflection worksheet and a separate 60-minute group follow-up.
Explore a career field
Connect emerging developments and career possibilities with school learning. Ask questions and take part in interactive Kahoot challenges, with opportunities to win prizes.
Investigate a problem that matters
Use a provided example and enrichment resources as a starting point, then investigate a real problem of your own connected with the field. It could be something you notice at home, at school or in your community.
Notice what draws you in
Complete a self-rating worksheet to reflect on what you enjoyed, which areas interested you and what you would like to explore further. This is personal reflection, not a career assessment.
Return to present and discuss
Share your findings with other participating students in the one-hour group follow-up. Listen to different ideas, ask questions and take the exploration further. Prizes recognise the top three student presentations. Follow-up arrangements are shared with registered families.
Give them a wider view through the whole series
Enjoying a design challenge could connect your child with engineering, aerospace, medical science or entrepreneurship. The whole Discover Your Passion series introduces those wider possibilities, helping them compare what sparks their interest and bring more context to choices about subjects, activities and future learning.
Discover Your Passion runs throughout the year, and your child can join at any time. Start with a field they are curious about, then explore others to compare interests and discover connections. They do not need to choose a career now. Each workshop gives your family more to discuss when choosing school subjects, activities and what to try next.
Keep the learning going at school
We work with schools and their teachers to coordinate the workshop. After the session, teachers can continue the learning with post-workshop classroom assignments and a grading rubric, supported by role-play activities and extended learning resources.
Partner with us or sponsor a workshop
Corporations and community organizations can partner with Inspirely or sponsor a single Discover Your Passion workshop or a workshop series. Together, we'll plan an experience around the young people you want to support.
