Hydraulic Bridge Ultimate Wooden STEM Kit

Build a bridge you can lift with your own hands. Assemble a wooden lift bridge, connect the syringe and tubing system, then press to raise its deck. It turns the idea of fluid pressure into movement learners can see and control.

At a glance: Ages 8+  ·  About 60–75 minutes, depending on experience  ·  Moderate challenge

Press the syringe. Watch the bridge rise.

As fluid pressure moves through the connected syringes, the bridge deck lifts and lowers. Try the mechanism and observe how force transfers through the system while the wooden structure stays stable. It’s experiential learning in action: build, test and think through how an engineering system works. That hands-on problem-solving makes future-ready learning tangible.

What’s included

• Precision-cut wooden parts for the lift bridge
• Hydraulic syringes, tubing and the components for the lifting mechanism
• Step-by-step printed instructions, video tutorial and group activity guide

The kit contains small parts and fluid components; adult supervision is required during assembly and use.

A hands-on experience for families and groups

Build together at home, or bring the hydraulic bridge to a shared activity:

• School parent councils: host a STEM fundraiser or parent engagement event where families build together and take their projects home.
• Home learning pods, learning centres and camps: use the build as a group challenge about fluid pressure, force transfer and stable structures.
• Community organizations: bring children and families together around a project they can see working.
• Parents and event planners: make a STEM birthday party for ages 8+ creative and memorable.
